New for Edition 30 - Transportation Energy Data Book

Welcome to this 30th edition of the Transportation Energy Data Book. Twenty-two of these editions have been produced by Stacy Davis. I and the Vehicle Technologies Program are grateful for the dedication, consistency, and the skill she has brought to this effort. I would like to bring to your attention some of the data that are new in this edition:
	Table 3.13. Heavy Truck Scrappage and Survival Rates. Data for heavy trucks, which had been in previous editions, is added back into the report.
	Table 6.2. Alternative Fuel Transit Vehicles, 2009 . For eight modes, the average vehicle age, the percent powered by alternative fuels, and the number of vehicles are provided.
Fifteen new emission standards tables have been added to Chapter 12. They include the following:
